Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation - 3Cat is the public census that manages the audiovisual media of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the television channels of Catalonia and the group of broadcasters of Catalonia Radio, in addition to the digital content generated by these media. It does so in compliance with its public service mission and with a strong commitment to the quality, independence and promotion of Catalan culture and language. The 3Cat Marathon Foundation, which promotes social awareness and scientific research, is also part of it.

3Cat participates in 30% in the Catalan News Agency (ACN), a public capital company, which manages written communication, radio and television services and activities at the local and county level of the Catalan-speaking areas and of all Spanish territory.

The Corporation is a member of the FORTA (Federation of Autonomic Radio and Television Organizations) since its constitution, in April 1989. This entity associates autonomous radios and televisions, with the aim of cooperating in the areas of intellectual property rights, transmissions, exchange of programs and services or participation in international bodies.

It is part of the UER-EBU (European Broadcasting Union), through Catalonia Music, which participates in the Euroradio musical exchange of this body that brings together all the public and the main private radio and television companies of Europe.

It is also associated with CIRCOM Regional, which brings together 376 public televisions from 38 European countries with the aim of promoting and developing cooperation between members, in the co-production and exchange of audiovisual content and in the training of journalists and technicians.
